Paranho were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Samodaes FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristóvão Ferro took the corner. Bernardo Domingues tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rogério Freitas. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 41st minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Eusébio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samodaes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Eusébio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samodaes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armindo Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Setúbal went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Armindo Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Tavares in the 67th minute of play forced Paranho's goalkeeper Armindo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Freitas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Samodaes FC's Bernardo Domingues got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Paranho players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Samodaes FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
