Feliteira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Carril FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Borba came free, but António Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Delgado made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Rui Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. After 17 minutes of play, Feliteira's Viriato Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Feliteira's Viriato Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eusébio Borba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Viriato Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. António Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Carril FC defense, Eusébio Borba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Gonçalves. The Carril FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. António Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Eusébio Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Gonçalves having to interfere. Eusébio Borba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carril FC's goalkeeper António Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 47 minutes of play, Feliteira's Eusébio Borba made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Brito made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Carril FC's João Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Eduardo Viana's late challenge caught a Feliteira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59thth minute of the game Viriato Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carril FC's António Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute, Viriato Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Rui Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Fonseca in the 77th minute of play forced Carril FC's goalkeeper António Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Borba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Humberto Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rui Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Brito in the 88th minute of the match. If Viriato Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Borba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Feliteira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
