An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Veiga in the 10th minute of play forced SC Vegia's goalkeeper Lucas Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Gondim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Silva came free, but Miguel Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Santos during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gondim FC! Gondim FC's David Aleixo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gondim FC's zone, Luís Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Barbosa came out of the goal and Luís Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Miguel Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Vegia. Lucas Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Aleixo in the 90th minute of play. Gondim FC's David Aleixo got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Gondim FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Vegia's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Vegia.
