Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amílcar Pedroso started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Fernando Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quintiaes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Amílcar Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintiaes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Guarda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Quintiaes FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fernando Amaro hit a great ball. Amílcar Pedroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Quintiaes FC's Alfredo Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Guarda in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Sanfins booed when Quintiaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Bento Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanfins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Sanfins got a freekick which was hit by Rui Paiva. A collision led to Sanfins getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Fábio Pinho hit a great ball. Francisco Correia, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alexandre Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Bento Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quintiaes FC's zone, Albertino Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Oliveira came out of the goal and Albertino Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sanfins's Albertino Nunes in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quintiaes FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bento Guarda in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sanfins's Ricardo Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Sanfins from getting a goal against them. 0-1 became the score in the 41st minute when Bento Guarda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Albertino Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alfredo Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After some careless play in the Sanfins defense, Lucas Amaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Baptista. The Sanfins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Baptista should have stopped the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Quintiaes FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertino Nunes. When Fábio Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sanfins's protests and gave Fábio Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sanfins getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fábio Pinho hit a great ball. The supporters of Sanfins booed when Quintiaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bento Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. If Amílcar Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ricardo Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Quintiaes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Marques to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Quintiaes FC's zone, Bento Guarda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Oliveira came out of the goal and Bento Guarda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bento Guarda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Oliveira. That made the score 1-2 in the 96 minute of play. The Sanfins supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sanfins would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
