Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardo Cabral started the match with the kick off. In the 7thth minute of the game Rodrigo Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedrogo's Manuel Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Manuel Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes SC Vessada got a freekick which was hit by Rui Castro. In the 12th minute of the match Manuel Henriques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Artur Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Raul Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Artur Dantas rounded SC Vessada's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Alberto Jesus came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Pedrogo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Jesus couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of SC Vessada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pedrogo:s goal. Ricardo Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Simão Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedrogo's Artur Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Augusto Castro. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
After a rather tough play, Pedrogo's Nuno Magalhães got a free kick in the 56th minute. Augusto Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Jesus in the 61st minute of the match. Ricardo Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedrogo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Vessada the free kick. A collision led to Pedrogo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Simão Amorim hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Rodrigo Mendes took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Manuel Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. Pedrogo's Manuel Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Pedrogo from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute Alberto Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rodrigo Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Vessada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Mendes couldn't finish the play.
