With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Américo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Amadeu Moreira notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SC Barroca's Albertino Santos. Albertino Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Américo Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Almagre's Ricardo Setúbal got a free kick in the 28th minute. Américo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albertino Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, SC Barroca's Paulo Fernandes got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the last second Albertino Santos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alexandre Ferreira in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Ferreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Amadeu Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertino Santos. SC Barroca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Neves during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Paulo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Américo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Américo Sousa in the 67th minute. SC Almagre's Sérgio Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Alves in the 74th minute of play. Hélder Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Cunha having to interfere. Américo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Albertino Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of SC Almagre booed when SC Barroca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Alexandre Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Almagre's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Moreira struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Albertino Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Almagre. SC Almagre's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
