Alviobeira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Almagre the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Alviobeira FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Almagre:s goal. The referee gave SC Almagre a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Artur Coimbra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alviobeira FC's Daniel Gomes. 0-1. In the 20th minute Alexandre Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Alviobeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Ribeiro. In the 24th match minute, Alviobeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Alviobeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Ribeiro. Daniel Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. SC Almagre's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armando Fontes 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 40th minute, Alexandre Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Alviobeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Moreira in the 42nd minute of play. Eduardo Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sérgio Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Amadeu Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Almagre's Alexandre Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Alviobeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Ferreira came free, but Daniel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Alexandre Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Gomes. Alviobeira FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Sérgio Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Fontes in the 95th minute of play. If Amadeu Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute.
