In the 17th match minute, SC Riquinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Moniz to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes of play, SC Riquinha's Albertino Sousa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute of the match João Bessa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Faro skillfully saved the ball. Jorge Faro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute Albertino Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The SC Riquinha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
