An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Neves in the 38th minute of play forced Paradelhas FC's goalkeeper Joel Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 57 played minutes, SC Gardete's Cristiano Henriques shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Cruz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Gardete reached it. 60 minutes into the match, Paradelhas FC's Paulo Trindade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th minute of the match, Ricardo Neves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel Cruz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Neves in the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Neves in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the game, Catarino Vaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rui Fernandes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Cruz. That made the score 1-1 in the 74 minute of play. If Catarino Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paradelhas FC's David Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Catarino Vaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rui Fernandes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paradelhas FC's Joel Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Neves in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Paradelhas FC's David Monteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Fernandes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
