Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Gardete's Ricardo Neves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viriato Guerreiro hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, João Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Leão was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Ricardo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Leão having to interfere. If Ricardo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If João Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Campino's Cristiano Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Neves in the 19th minute of play. Ricardo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Leão having to interfere. Paulo Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cristiano Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, SC Gardete's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Machado came free, but Rui Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ricardo Neves got free in front of the goal in the 28th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Cristiano Leão was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Paulo Brás came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SC Gardete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Brás couldn't finish the play. In the 34th match minute, Campino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Ricardo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Campino getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eusébio Nascimento hit a great ball. Viriato Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cristiano Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Leão. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Rui Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Gonçalves hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Paulo Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristiano Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Ricardo Neves made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Leão. Campino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 75 minutes, Ricardo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gardete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Machado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rui Fernandes firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Humberto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Brás in the 88th minute of play forced Campino's goalkeeper Cristiano Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Leiria kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Paulo Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that SC Gardete were the better team. SC Gardete's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
