After a rather tough play, SC Gonca's Cristiano Nunes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, José Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Faro hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Sá during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Gonca's Tiago Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Faro in the 24th minute of play. SC Gonca's Tiago Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save SC Gonca from getting a goal against them. Tiago Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Faro in the 37th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes SC Gonca got a freekick which was hit by José Gonçalves. 40 minutes into the match, SC Murteirinha's Simão Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Faro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Tiago Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Murteirinha. Mário Abreu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Nuno Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Gonca. João Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Abreu to make the kick off. If João Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Gonca getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. José Gonçalves hit a great ball. Simão Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Simão Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Murteirinha's Nuno Cardoso got control of the ball when Cristiano Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Murteirinha's Nuno Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save SC Murteirinha from getting a goal against them. Simão Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tiago Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, João Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Murteirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Gonca's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
