Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adelino Faria started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SC Parelhal getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Duarte Domingues hit a great ball. In the 8th minute of the match Cristóvão Neto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Nogueira skillfully saved the ball. Manuel Brás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Cardoso having to make a save. Júlio Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Nuno Cardoso made a huge save. Manuel Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Simão Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingos Nogueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adelino Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Nuno Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Brás got free with Nuno Cardoso in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the game, Joaquim Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Murteirinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Parelhal the free kick. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Murteirinha! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Faro during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Joaquim Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Domingos Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Brás might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Brás ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Faro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, SC Parelhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Ferro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Parelhal's Joaquim Faro got a free kick in the 56th minute. Simão Queirós's late challenge caught a SC Parelhal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Murteirinha's Simão Queirós got a free kick in the 57th minute. Cristóvão Neto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão Queirós got free with Domingos Nogueira in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Faria in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Adelino Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Cardoso. SC Murteirinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adelino Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Adelino Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Murteirinha booed when SC Parelhal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, João Faro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Murteirinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When SC Murteirinha's João Faro in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Parelhal's goalie prevented a goal. João Faro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. SC Murteirinha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, SC Murteirinha's Vicente Marques got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Adelino Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
