Américo Melo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moachos FC's Fernando Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Ferreira in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Domingues got free with Fernando Castro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Américo Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Amorim.
