In the 5th match minute, Barcouco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mário Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Gueifão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário Moniz having to make a save. Pedro Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Nunes during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bairral getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Armando Nunes hit a great ball. Carlos Neto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 21 minutes into the game, Daniel Lopes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filipe Paiva. Daniel Lopes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Armando Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Moniz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Gaspar Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bairral's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Luís Santos hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Barcouco FC's Daniel Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Carlos Neto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filipe Paiva. Carlos Neto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Lopes to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Bairral got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Maia. The audience was convinced that Daniel Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe Paiva was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Barcouco FC's Mário Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Gueifão in the 55th minute of play. Manuel Oliveira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Pedro Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bairral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Pedro Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaspar Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Pedro Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Barcouco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Barcouco FC's zone, Pedro Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Moniz came out of the goal and Pedro Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Barcouco FC's Carlos Neto in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bairral's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Gueifão in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Moniz saved Barcouco FC from getting behind. The Barcouco FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
