Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joaquim Gonçalves kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice moves David Nunes could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Humberto Lima however easily saved by the left post. After recieving a nice pass, SC Cucana's Heitor Machado tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Contins's Fábio Pedroso got a free kick in the 8th minute. António Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th match minute, Contins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. António Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Humberto Lisboa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of António Jesus. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Fábio Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contins's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, José Moniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Contins booed when SC Cucana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Contins's David Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Humberto Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When David Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Contins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Nunes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Contins's zone, Joaquim Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Jesus came out of the goal and Joaquim Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Contins players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Cucana were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fábio Dias was the one to do the kick off. Contins's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Joaquim Gonçalves scored to the left of an out of position António Jesus, making the score, 0-3. Joaquim Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Contins got a freekick which was hit by José Moniz. In the 73rd minute, Hugo Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SC Cucana defense, David Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Lima. The SC Cucana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Lima should have stopped the shot. Hugo Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Contins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Cucana's Hugo Pinheiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. Humberto Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Nunes in the 78th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that David Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Lima was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st minute Fábio Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Cucana booed when Contins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Contins's António Jesus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Contins from getting a goal against them. When David Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Contins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Nunes couldn't finish the play. David Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Lima having to interfere. The Contins fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Cucana were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
