Bruno Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Brás having to interfere. But to his dismay, Cristiano Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. António Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Barbosa having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Valente in the 34th minute of the match. Cristiano Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vítor Barbosa made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Valente made a kick off. Carlos Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, João Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Brito in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Brás saved Moncorvo from getting behind. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faleiros's goalkeeper Vítor Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Brás made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Vítor Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. António Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Faleiros getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. João Queirós hit a great ball. Vítor Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. António Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
