Cândido Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Silva's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. A collision led to Pilado getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Joel Trindade hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Gaspar in the 10th minute of play forced Pilado's goalkeeper Cândido Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Pilado got a freekick which was hit by Joel Trindade. Vítor Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Catarino Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Matias having to interfere. Pilado's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Manuel Gaspar 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Afonso Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Américo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Monteiro having to interfere. 40 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pilado's Vítor Marques fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Afonso Borges scored 2-1 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Catarino Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vítor Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Manuel Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lourim FC booed when Pilado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Pedro Borba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Américo Silva in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cândido Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd match minute, Pilado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Trindade to maneuver through the defense. If Manuel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cândido Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Paulo Viegas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Lourim FC's Alberto Queirós got a free kick in the 95th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Borges got free with Catarino Matias in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Américo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 102nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lourim FC had won after a very even match.
