An unexpectedly hard shot by João Leal in the 8th minute of play forced SC Taboaco's goalkeeper Lourenço Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Fonseca having to make a save. João Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lourenço Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute João Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rui Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Rui Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Amorim was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Sérgio Paiva struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Diamantino Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Taboaco. If Rui Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th match minute, Quetriz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. If Rui Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Taboaco's zone, João Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Fonseca came out of the goal and João Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Sérgio Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When João Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quetriz FC's protests and gave João Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Quetriz FC's João Oliveira got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Quetriz FC's Diamantino Amorim got control of the ball when Rui Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If João Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
