José Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Gomes having to interfere. Rafael Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Rui Figueiredo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 15th minute of the match, Daniel Aleixo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaime Carneiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lúcio Barros's late challenge caught a Pinhao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Barros helped the player get up and apologised. SC Loicana's Simão Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, André Dantas fired a really elegant long shot, but Jaime Carneiro threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Jaime Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Aleixo in the 40th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Simão Moura made the kick off in the second half. Simão Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Gomes having to interfere. If Simão Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heitor Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Ramos in the 65th minute of play forced SC Loicana's goalkeeper Jaime Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Monteiro got free with Heitor Gomes in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Pinhao FC's goalkeeper Heitor Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Monteiro. 77 minutes into the match, Pinhao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Moura came free, but Heitor Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Pinhao FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Domingos Mendes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Simão Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Loicana's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heitor Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Heitor Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Monteiro in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Rafael Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Loicana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhao FC the free kick. Rafael Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Heitor Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Moura in the 95th minute of the match.
