Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Pinhao FC's zone, Alexandre Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Gomes came out of the goal and Alexandre Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heitor Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasco Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Gomes having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Pinhao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Correia came free, but Heitor Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Assis went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Aleixo in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Soares saved Almadena FC from getting behind. The supporters of Pinhao FC booed when Almadena FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Pinhao FC's Pedro Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrique Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 minutes, Rui Assunção mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinhao FC and the Almadena FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Adelino Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Soares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alexandre Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Daniel Aleixo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Heitor Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Correia in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heitor Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Correia in the 66th minute of play forced Pinhao FC's goalkeeper Heitor Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almadena FC's Henrique Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Aleixo in the 70th minute of play. Daniel Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Pedro Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Nuno Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heitor Gomes was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Pinhao FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
