Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simão Moura started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, José Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Loicana's supporters rose to their feet, but José Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Soares came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Loicana's José Monteiro. But to his dismay, José Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Loicana's zone, Nuno Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Carneiro came out of the goal and Nuno Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Assis's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. António Amorim hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Eduardo Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Carneiro. SC Loicana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Nuno Correia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Loicana's Jaime Carneiro. Jaime Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th match minute, Almadena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Simões to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Assis struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jaime Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almadena FC. José Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Henrique Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Mota walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jaime Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Soares having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Almadena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Moura came free, but Henrique Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Henrique Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Loicana. When Simão Moura came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the SC Loicana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Moura couldn't finish the play. José Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Loicana's zone, Alexandre Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Carneiro came out of the goal and Alexandre Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
