Óscar Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Moreira made a kick off. With a little luck, Merufe's Emanuel Cardoso got control of the ball when Catarino Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hugo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. If Vasco Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Merufe fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Vieiros had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
