After having played for 4 minutes, José Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarrasteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Morais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Moutinho in the 9th minute of play forced Tarrasteira's goalkeeper Lourenço Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Vicentes's Daniel Vieira got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Vicentes's zone, Delfim Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Almeida came out of the goal and Delfim Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when José Morais sped through SC Vicentes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Almeida. Jorge Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Fernando Almeida made a huge save. Lourenço Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Mendes in the 41st minute of the match. Joaquim Mendes scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lourenço Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

53 minutes into the match, Tarrasteira's goal looked a bit too open when André Moutinho came free, but Lourenço Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tarrasteira getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Delfim Gueifão hit a great ball. Fernando Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Tarrasteira's Lourenço Neto got control of the ball when Tomás Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Moutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lourenço Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. José Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Almeida having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Monteiro during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vicente Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Joaquim Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Lourenço Neto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Joaquim Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Lourenço Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of SC Vicentes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tarrasteira:s goal. Cristóvão Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 99th minute André Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
