The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Nuno Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Guardao's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute João Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paredes in the 32nd minute of the match. Abel Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Nuno Soares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Pereira skillfully saved the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Adarse FC's João Paredes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The Guardao fans cheered their team off the field, for while Adarse FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
