Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Surgacaes FC's Fernando Torres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Samaioes's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Torres came free, but Afonso Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Oliveira during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Samaioes getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. André Oliveira hit a great ball. Samaioes's Afonso Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Veiga in the 10th minute of play. Marco Coimbra hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Diogo Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes in the game, André Oliveira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Diogo Marques having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Fernando Torres put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Afonso Assunção. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Oliveira got free with Diogo Marques in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cândido Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Afonso Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Torres in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Samaioes's Marco Coimbra got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Óscar Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Surgacaes FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Rui Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Samaioes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Marques's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Diogo Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Marques went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cândido Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Torres in the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Sérgio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samaioes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Jesus's late challenge caught a Samaioes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Surgacaes FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rui Jesus hit a great ball. Diogo Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Oliveira in the 76th minute of play. Afonso Assunção was a little too slow when Fernando Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 81st minute Fernando Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Francisco Pacheco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diogo Marques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 87 played minutes Surgacaes FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Assunção. After having played for 88 minutes, Sérgio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samaioes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Fernando Torres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Assunção saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Diogo Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Oliveira went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
