Paulo Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SC Cerrado's Paulo Viana got control of the ball when Xavier Brás tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Rodrigo Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dantas in the 25th minute of play. If Rogério Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simão Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Fontes in the 32nd minute of the match. When Luís Neto fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cerrado's protests and gave Luís Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusébio Fontes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Fontes in the 57th minute of play forced SC Armamar's goalkeeper Simão Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Rodrigo Morais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Cerrado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 64th play minute Rodrigo Morais came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Simão Resende. 2-3. In the 67th match minute, SC Cerrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the game, SC Armamar's Xavier Brás nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Viana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Emanuel Bessa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Eusébio Fontes took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Simão Resende to make any attempt to save it. Rodrigo Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Resende having to interfere. SC Armamar's Simão Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Fontes in the 90th minute of play. Rodrigo Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Cerrado walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
