In the 18th minute José Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Manuel Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Igreja getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eusébio Nunes hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Laborins FC's Augusto Luz tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. SC Igreja's Manuel Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Sá in the 33rd minute of play. If José Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Aleixo in the 38th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. After a rather tough play, SC Igreja's Cláudio Trindade got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Carlos Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Aleixo in the 62nd minute.
