SC Pereiros's Américo Coimbra got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Miguel Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Coimbra in the 32nd minute of play forced Arrabis FC's goalkeeper David Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Pacheco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Pacheco was the one to do the kick off. Cláudio Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The SC Pereiros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Pereiros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
