Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Armindo Melo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Santarém in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Silva struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Hugo Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escapais FC. José Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ota FC's Tomás Silva got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Santarém in the 16th minute of play forced Ota FC's goalkeeper Hugo Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When André Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ota FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Pedro Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hugo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes, Escapais FC's Henrique Aguiar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Porto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Escapais FC reached it. José Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Porto having to interfere. If Armindo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Jesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Valente during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Escapais FC booed when Ota FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ota FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gil Fonseca hit a great ball. José Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Filipe Borba came out of the goal and André Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Teixeira in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Borba saved Escapais FC from getting behind. If André Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, David Monteiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Escapais FC's Filipe Borba didn't even have to move. José Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Hugo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Silva came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Porto could save by the left post.
