If Américo Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Cortegada's Gabriel Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Valente in the 9th minute of play. Gabriel Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Valente in the 11th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, André Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mansores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cortegada the free kick. André Nascimento hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Miguel Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Oliveira Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cortegada. Tomás Guerreiro's late challenge caught a SC Cortegada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Guerreiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Mansores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mansores FC's zone, Amadeu Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliveira Sousa came out of the goal and Amadeu Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the game, Américo Valente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gabriel Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Coimbra in the 36th minute of play forced Mansores FC's goalkeeper Oliveira Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Miguel Coimbra's late challenge caught a Mansores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mansores FC booed when SC Cortegada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Américo Valente came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mansores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Valente couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Coimbra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sandro Faro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Américo Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Barbosa having to interfere. Miguel Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Silva's late challenge caught a Mansores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Silva helped the player get up and apologised. Américo Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Barbosa having to interfere. A collision led to SC Cortegada getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Pedro Nogueira hit a great ball. Miguel Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Oliveira Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 minutes of play Mansores FC's André Nascimento was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 85th minute, Pedro Nogueira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mansores FC's Oliveira Sousa didn't even have to move. Mansores FC's Oliveira Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Amaro in the 88th minute of play. Miguel Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Oliveira Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cortegada. The Mansores FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
