Civado FC's Américo Resende got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Miguel Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Civado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Paredes couldn't finish the play. Américo Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Soares having to interfere. In the 30th minute Miguel Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Melo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fábio Mota was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Paiva to make the kick off. Miguel Paredes scored 0-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Coelho in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Mota saved Civado FC from getting behind. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Civado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Paiva came free, but Fábio Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match, Miguel Paredes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Soares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. David Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Civado FC's Fábio Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Paiva in the 81st minute of play. Miguel Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Soares having to interfere. In the 87th minute Alexandre Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Soares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Paredes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 94 minute of play. The Civado FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Civado FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
