Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Cortegada's Miguel Coimbra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of SC Cortegada booed when Courela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Soares having to interfere. Courela's David Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Coimbra in the 6th minute of play. When Miguel Coimbra came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the SC Cortegada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Coimbra couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Courela's zone, Miguel Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Soares came out of the goal and Miguel Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alexandre Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Amaro got free with David Soares in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Emílio Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Barbosa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, SC Cortegada's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Coelho came free, but Gabriel Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Amadeu Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Cortegada's goalkeeper Gabriel Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Coimbra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Soares having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Alexandre Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Courela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54 played minutes SC Cortegada got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Faro. Alexandre Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Amadeu Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Cortegada's Sandro Faro got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Paiva in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Barbosa saved SC Cortegada from getting behind. If Carlos Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cortegada's zone, Alexandre Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Coimbra in the 67th minute of play forced Courela's goalkeeper David Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Soares having to interfere. Joel Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Alexandre Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Paiva in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Courela getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Joel Pereira hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Alexandre Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Silva hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Alexandre Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Courela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
