Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cortical's Hugo Simões started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Cortical was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Barros to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Fernando Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martinzes FC's Filipe Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Simões in the 15th minute of play. If Armando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Aleixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Simões in the 18th minute of play. If Armando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Cortical got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Cunha. Albertino Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cortical's goalkeeper Fernando Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelino Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Albertino Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Sebastião Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Barros hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Albertino Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fernando Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Armando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

With a little luck, Cortical's Fernando Freitas got control of the ball when Sebastião Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Sebastião Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Martinzes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Sebastião Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fernando Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Martinzes FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sandro Dantas hit a great ball. Martinzes FC's Sebastião Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Cortical got a freekick which was hit by Artur Borba. Albertino Brito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Albertino Brito slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 68th minute. If Armando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute of the match André Leiria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Aleixo skillfully saved the ball. Armando Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Hugo Simões struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Filipe Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cortical. Hugo Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Martinzes FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
