Fuseiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Raul Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Guerreiro was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Veiga in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Guerreiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Gomes was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Fuseiros FC's Raul Guerreiro got control of the ball when Francisco Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Reis having to make a save. Basílio Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Reis having to interfere. Simão Viana didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Basílio Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
