Jorge Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Touria FC. 5 minutes into the game, Alberto Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jorge Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Sopo's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Tavares came free, but Jorge Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sebastião Sá came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sopo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Sá couldn't finish the play. Luís Andrade's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Miguel Matos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Touria FC's zone, Luís Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Matos came out of the goal and Luís Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Sá in the 18th minute of play forced Touria FC's goalkeeper Miguel Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Sá in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sebastião Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sopo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Sá in the 28th minute of play. Vítor Pacheco hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Augusto Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Touria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Luís Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Miguel Matos to make any attempt to save it. 38 minutes into the game, Alberto Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Touria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sopo the free kick. Alberto Garcia hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Sebastião Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Miguel Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Touria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Pacheco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Touria FC's Hugo Vaz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sopo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastião Sá went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Sopo's Jorge Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sopo from getting a goal against them. Augusto Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Silva having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Sebastião Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sopo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Andrade in the 70th minute of play forced Touria FC's goalkeeper Miguel Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Andrade in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Matos saved Touria FC from getting behind. If Xavier Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute, Augusto Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Tavares in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th minute Sebastião Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armindo Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Sopo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armindo Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sopo had won after a very even match.
