Afonso Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute João Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Basílio Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Pires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Porto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Prado's Daniel Moutinho got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Afonso Pires, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Miguel Porto was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. David Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Álvaro Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Porto came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carregal FC's Afonso Pires. But to his dismay, Afonso Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cândido Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Miguel Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cândido Valente made the kick off in the second half. When Álvaro Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carregal FC's protests and gave Álvaro Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carregal FC's Álvaro Monteiro got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Carregal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basílio Macedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. João Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Sá having to interfere. Raul Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Carregal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Cândido Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cândido Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. After 73 minutes of play, Carregal FC's Afonso Pires made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Prado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Carregal FC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Leite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Prado's Miguel Porto. 3-1. Cândido Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Porto having to make a save. Afonso Pires hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Prado players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carregal FC.
