Joaquim Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Neto having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, António Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Amorosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cerdedo the free kick. Carlos Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Joaquim Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Cerdedo's Albertino Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Amorosa's Cristóvão Marques got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Abreu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Neto saved SC Amorosa from getting behind. When Francisco Matias fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Amorosa's protests and gave Francisco Matias a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the game, one of SC Amorosa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for SC Cerdedo. Fernando Coelho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Neto. 2-1. Albertino Trindade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Abreu in the 96th minute of the match. SC Cerdedo's Gustavo Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save SC Cerdedo from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Cerdedo had played much better football throughout.
