Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Fontes started the match with the kick off. If Marco Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Marco Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burgo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Macedo's late challenge caught a SC Varatojo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Burgo FC got a freekick which was hit by José Macedo. 26 minutes into the match, SC Varatojo's goalkeeper Domingos Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Porto. After a defensive mix-up in SC Varatojo's zone, Marco Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Nogueira came out of the goal and Marco Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Varatojo's Domingos Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save SC Varatojo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Gomes in the 36th minute of play forced Burgo FC's goalkeeper Bruno Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Paredes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Fontes's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Manuel Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bruno Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Pinheiro made a kick off. Domingos Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Burgo FC booed when SC Varatojo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heitor Oliveira hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Marco Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Nogueira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Varatojo's zone, Jaime Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Nogueira came out of the goal and Jaime Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute Jaime Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Bruno Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Fontes in the 84th minute of play. Marco Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Nogueira having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Jaime Porto notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Varatojo's Domingos Nogueira. Domingos Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the match, Burgo FC's Jaime Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Nogueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Burgo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Varatojo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
