Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gustavo Moutinho kicked off to start the match. Paulo Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes Maravila FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Paiva. The supporters of Maravila FC booed when Castelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Brás, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Maravila FC's Gabriel Paiva got a free kick in the 15th minute. João Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Castelo FC defense, Marco Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Azevedo. The Castelo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Marco Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. João Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castelo FC's João Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Assunção in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marco Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. João Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maravila FC's goalkeeper Paulo Campos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Maravila FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Assunção was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Castelo FC's Joaquim Guarda got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Carlos Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Pires in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, António Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Pires in the 65th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Hugo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 75 played minutes, Castelo FC's Joaquim Guarda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Campos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castelo FC reached it. João Azevedo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Maravila FC's Marco Lima. But to his dismay, Marco Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Castelo FC booed when Maravila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castelo FC's Gustavo Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Miguel Assunção made a precise shot to the right of João Azevedo. Castelo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Hugo Pires came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Castelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Pires couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Marco Lima could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which João Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. Carlos Assunção blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Campos having to make a save. Marco Lima hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The free kick made by Maravila FC's Marco Lima led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The Castelo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maravila FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Maravila FC.
