Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vicente Martins started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Sebastião Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastião Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of SC Brinches booed when Azelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Azelha got a freekick which was hit by André Machado. With a little luck, Azelha's José Borba got control of the ball when Alexandre Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Duarte Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Azelha's Vicente Martins in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Brinches's goalie prevented a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Sandro Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Brinches's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azelha the free kick. In the 27th minute of the match Afonso Dantas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rui Faria came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Azelha's Vicente Martins. But to his dismay, Vicente Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rui Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Leite in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Alexandre Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Brinches's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Álvaro Faro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Sebastião Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. José Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brinches. Duarte Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rui Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Duarte Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Faria. SC Brinches's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastião Nogueira made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Azelha's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Nogueira came free, but José Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Alexandre Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Brinches's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Brinches's Sandro Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Duarte Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Figueiredo in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Martins in the 91st minute of play forced SC Brinches's goalkeeper Rui Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Henrique Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Faria made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Duarte Leite sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute Vicente Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th minute, Duarte Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Azelha's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
