Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Azelha's Vicente Martins started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oliveira Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Borba having to interfere. Vicente Martins took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Moura. Daniel Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Azelha's Vicente Martins in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santar FC's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Azelha's Vicente Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. José Borba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliveira Magalhães in the 25th minute. Duarte Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Daniel Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Azelha's Duarte Leite made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 46 played minutes Azelha got a freekick which was hit by Bento Rodrigues. In the 46th minute, one of Azelha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azelha. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte Leite in the 55th minute. Vicente Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Pedro Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Moura. Santar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. José Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, António Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Santar FC's Daniel Moura got control of the ball when Duarte Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Santar FC's António Melo made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Borba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Leite in the 80th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Vicente Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Moura having to interfere. A collision led to Santar FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Lucas Tavares hit a great ball. When Azelha's Duarte Leite, in the 92nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Azelha. The Azelha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
