Oliveira Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jorge Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Emílio Coimbra made a huge save. A collision led to SC Laranjeira getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Oliveira Faria hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Oliveira Faria fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SC Laranjeira booed when Surribas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viriato Guarda struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Emílio Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Surribas FC. With a little luck, SC Laranjeira's Emílio Coimbra got control of the ball when Ricardo Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Ricardo Esteves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vicente Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Carlos Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jorge Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Borba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliveira Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jorge Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surribas FC's Ricardo Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ricardo Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Emílio Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes SC Laranjeira got a freekick which was hit by Rui Faro. Emílio Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Guarda in the 77th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, SC Laranjeira's Oliveira Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Surribas FC's zone, Oliveira Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Leite came out of the goal and Oliveira Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
