Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luís Ferreira made the kick off and thus started the match. Luís Ferreira hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Afonso Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Macedo in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute José Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Luís Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defezinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Vicente Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Amaral in the 30th minute. If André Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes, André Macedo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Defezinha's Afonso Barbosa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Macedo in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Barbosa saved Defezinha from getting behind. Pedro Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Afonso Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Alares were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Macedo made a kick off. Afonso Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Fonseca in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, Defezinha's goalkeeper Afonso Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Fonseca. Pedro Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Queirós having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alares's zone, Luís Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Queirós came out of the goal and Luís Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when David Setúbal put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Defezinha a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardo Pires, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alares's Mariano Queirós. 1-1. The supporters of Alares booed when Defezinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Teixeira during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Defezinha's Luís Ferreira fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 89th match minute, Alares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Macedo to maneuver through the defense. José Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mariano Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Nuno Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alares's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
