SC Lombos's Oliveira Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Mota in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Lombos's Sebastião Dias got a free kick in the 37th minute. Afonso Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Oliveira Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Paiva was the one to do the kick off. João Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Joaquim Paiva hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Lombos's Oliveira Gonçalves got control of the ball when Afonso Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inácio Paiva scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, SC Lombos's goalkeeper Oliveira Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Mota. Oliveira Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Faria in the 80th minute of play forced SC Lombos's goalkeeper Oliveira Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Paiva hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Jorge Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Frazoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Lombos the free kick. In the 87th minute, Jorge Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
