Navais FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. António Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th match minute, Gildinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. André Neves was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lourenço Maia. José Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Neves having to interfere. Afonso Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Gonçalves in the 19th minute of the match. When Gildinho FC's António Gonçalves in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Navais FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Guerreiro in the 53rd minute of play forced Gildinho FC's goalkeeper André Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Afonso Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Manuel Aleixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Navais FC and the Gildinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Navais FC:s Afonso Ribeiro showed great skill when he stopped Nuno Dantas:s penalty. Afonso Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Dantas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When José Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Navais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Andrade couldn't finish the play. José Andrade struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. André Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navais FC. After some careless play in the Gildinho FC defense, José Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Neves. The Gildinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Neves should have stopped the shot. António Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Afonso Ribeiro made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Gonçalves got free with Afonso Ribeiro in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delfim Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Gildinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Dantas. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
