SC Bezerral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galega the free kick. In the 37th minute, Pedro Porto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Bezerral's Domingos Mota didn't even have to move. 41 minutes into the match, Galega's goal looked a bit too open when David Silva came free, but Hélder Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Hélder Lisboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galega's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Bezerral the free kick. A collision led to Galega getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Hélder Lisboa hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Silva was the one to do the kick off. If Adolfo Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Artur Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Mota having to interfere. David Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Bezerral supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Bezerral would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
