Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) João Leal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Manuel Amaro came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Carpinteiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Amaro couldn't finish the play. Domingos Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Leal in the 6th minute of play. Alfredo Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Bezerral's Domingos Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Leal in the 12th minute of play. Alfredo Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rodrigo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Rodrigo Teixeira managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when SC Bezerral's Alfredo Veiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carpinteiras's Manuel Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When João Leal came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Carpinteiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Leal couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, one of Carpinteiras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, SC Bezerral's Delfim Azevedo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodrigo Teixeira. In the 35th match minute, Carpinteiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Trindade to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Silva in the 38th minute of play. Alfredo Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Teixeira having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Fernando Trindade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpinteiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Bezerral the free kick. Alfredo Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Teixeira made a huge save. David Silva succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alfredo Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bezerral's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Manuel Amaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Mota. SC Bezerral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Amaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Leal in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Bezerral's goalkeeper Domingos Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Cândido Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpinteiras and the SC Bezerral players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Carpinteiras got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Moreira. When SC Bezerral's David Silva in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carpinteiras's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Alfredo Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bezerral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Carpinteiras's Manuel Dias got a free kick in the 92nd minute. João Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Domingos Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carpinteiras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
