Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adolfo Lima took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manariz FC's Sérgio Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Manariz FC's Marco Costa in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galega's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Garcia having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Silva during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Pedro Porto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Viana having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Manariz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Lima came free, but Fernando Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manariz FC's Fernando Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Almeida in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Sebastião Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manariz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galega the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Manariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Tavares to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Heitor Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Galega's Pedro Porto in action when he in the 33rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Rodrigo Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Viana having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Rodrigo Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hélder Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Manariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Matos to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Pedro Porto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Viana skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Manariz FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Xavier Costa hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Costa made a kick off. Fernando Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Adolfo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Viana having to interfere. Sérgio Delgado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Garcia having to make a save. Adolfo Lima's late challenge caught a Manariz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Galega got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Lima. Sérgio Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hélder Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Almeida in the 96th minute. Galega's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
