Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afonso Santarém started the match with the kick off. SC Biogal's Afonso Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 4 played minutes Vilar got a freekick which was hit by João Brás. 6 minutes into the match, Vilar's goalkeeper António Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Castro. Alexandre Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. António Ramos was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Afonso Santarém capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Afonso Santarém really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 14th minute Cristiano Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilar's António Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Santarém in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Vilar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Brás to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Santarém in the 19th minute of play forced Vilar's goalkeeper António Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Rodrigues got in the 21st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but João Magalhães handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. António Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Álvaro Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Álvaro Reis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Afonso Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Magalhães having to interfere. If Henrique Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. António Morais was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Vilar getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Adelino Pinto hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes, SC Biogal's Álvaro Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper António Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Biogal reached it. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vilar's goalkeeper António Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vilar's António Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Santarém in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match, António Morais tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Magalhães saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. António Morais, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Biogal's Alexandre Neves got a free kick in the 64th minute. Adelino Pinto hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Álvaro Reis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for António Ramos. Vilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SC Biogal's Afonso Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vilar's zone, Hugo Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Ramos came out of the goal and Hugo Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Cândido Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, SC Biogal's Afonso Santarém nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 93 minutes into the match, Afonso Santarém notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vilar's António Ramos. António Ramos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Biogal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
