Alte's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Castro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when David Mendes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Mota in the 22nd minute of play forced Ajuda's goalkeeper Afonso Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Afonso Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Catarino Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Araújo made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Mariano Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mariano Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Manuel Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ajuda's Américo Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Américo Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If David Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ajuda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Eusébio Leal scored to the left of an out of position Afonso Marques, making the score, 0-2. After 79 played minutes Ajuda got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Gomes. Alte's Eusébio Leal managed to work through Ajuda's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eusébio Leal dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ajuda's goalkeeper Afonso Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ajuda's Afonso Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Ajuda from getting a goal against them. Ajuda's Afonso Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Leal in the 89th minute of play. Américo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Manuel Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alte walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
